THANK YOU ALL - FOR YOUR HELP WITH OUR BEACH & RIVERBED CLEANUP!
According to the California Coastal Commission: "Orange County (thanks to you) exceeded last year's number of attendance by 28%! And weight of trash exceeded last year's number by 36%!"
We had 715 people in the bottom of the riverbed helping us make a difference! This is even more than we had last year! Can you believe that we filled 8 dumpsters of trash? And that trash will not end up on our beaches!
I want to personally thank the following people and groups that helped us!
Jim Meyer, Trails 4 All for coordinating 36 inland sites for this huge event!~
Angeline Santiago, CA Coastal Commission for coordinating 18 coastal sites for this huge event!~
Boeing employees and especially Sarah Murr!
ADP Payroll Service employees and especially Lisa Domer who took excellent care of our beach cleanup location while Steve & I were at the riverbed location, with the help of Flor Wickham, Carlos Castellanos, Anthony Pace, Monique Langenwalter, Theresa Jenkins, and Joe Hernandez.
SB Host Lions & Leos for cooking 400 hot dogs for us, specifically Gary Denni & Scott Newton!
Tahira from Ruby's for donating free shake coupons for those of us over 12 years old and free lunch/dinner coupons for those of us under 12 years old
Jose Rodriguez from Hunter And Associates who provided the "Diarama display" to show us how trash ends up in our ocean
Bob Eagle from the City of Seal Beach
David Carmany, City Manager, Seal Beach
